Sleepless in America

Jackson County Advocate - 10/27/2016

Here's something that might keep you up at nights: reports that as many as 20% of Americans suffer from anxiety disorder later in life.

The Association of Mature American Citizens suggests that caregivers keep an eye out for symptoms such as loss of appetite and sleepless nights. If the signs are there, see a doctor who can recommend a course of treatment.

The good news is that the majority of seniors live anxiety-free lives and that there are medications that can relieve symptoms in those that have the disorder.
